Maria Walsh Maria Walsh MICHT GCP Holistic Therapist
Maria has extensive experience in the fields of Holistic Therapy and Complementary Medicine.
She qualified in 1992 as a Sports Therapist following in-depth training in various forms of massage, which included being selected for a highly competitive year-long scholarship placement to study the art of Shiatsu in Tokyo.Following on from her work treating sports-related injuries, Marias interest in wider forms of therapy and massage led her to explore Reflexology and Aromatherapy, seeking ways to integrate them into her treatments.
Realising that, not only could these disciplines have a positive and complementary application in Sports Therapy, they also had a value in their own right, Maria went on to qualify both as a Reflexologist and Aromatherapist, becoming a fully accredited member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists in 1992.
Since then, Maria has been active in the field of Holistic Therapy, working in a variety of settings. A qualified teacher and tutor, Maria has run courses in Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage for Blackpool & The Fylde College for over 20 years.
In addition, Maria has built up her own independent practice, treating clients with a range of ailments from minor complaints through to stress-related illness. Maria works frequently with the vulnerable and elderly in both her practice and teaching.
